Eileen earned a BFA in painting from the Rhode Island School of Design in 1979. While at RISD, she studied color theory based on Josef Albers' Interaction of Color with Si Sillman. Professors John Torreano and Louisa Chase guided Eileen during her senior thesis. She currently maintains a studio and residence in Wilmette, IL, just outside of Chicago.

Her work has been exhibited on a national scale in New York and locally at the Merchandise Mart, Gallery Mornea, Women Made Gallery, Evanston Art Center, Union Street Gallery, Old Courthouse Art Center, The Art Center in Highland Park, and Wilmette Public Library.
